Samuel Eto'o Fils News~Samuel Eto’o summoned by Cameroon FA after friendly match boycott

Cameroon captain Samuel Eto’o and vice-captain Eyong Enoh have been summoned by the Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot) to appear before a special disciplinary council following the team’s refusal to travel to Algiers to play an international friendly against Algeria on November 15.
The Fecafoot president Iya Mohamed earlier lodged a complaint to the disciplinary arm of the body against the Indomitable Lions after the incident.
On behalf of the team, Eto’o and Enoh will be asked to explain why they boycotted the Algiers meeting despite the provision of bonuses from the LG Cup 24 hours prior the friendly by the Cameroon sports ministry.
After winning the LG Cup in Marrakech over hosts Morocco on November 13, the Cameroon players had insisted on the payment of their bonuses before proceeding to play Algeria. But the funds finally arrived on November 14, which the players considered too late and subsequently bowed out of the arrangements.
The Fecafoot will hold an urgent meeting on Thursday November 24 with the aim of resolving the crisis, while Fifa will soon pronounce judgement on a complaint filed by the Algeria Football Federation against the Fecafoot over the botched friendly match.
This is not the first time the Anzhi forward is appearing before Cameroon FA disciplinary committee. Last June, he was summoned for challenging then coach Javier Clemente’s substitution of Choupo-Moting during their goalless clash against Senegal in the 2012 Afcon qualifiers. He was eventually exonerated.
